Art Alternatives August What's New Samples

What's New in August?  Art Alternatives Heavy Duty Stretcher Bars and Canvas Corner Braces!  Look for special deals on all of the open stock sizes as well as super savings and a free rack with purchase of a full assortment! Stock of all items is now available in all 3 warehouses although additional lead times will apply for the racks.  Samples of the stretcher bars and the MDF corners have been ordered under each rep's sample account and you should receive them by the time What's New goes live next week. - Lisa D x 6635

Art Alternatives Portfolios Stock Outs

You will begin noticing low stock and stock outs of the Art Alternatives Classic Editon Portfolios and Double Zipper Portfolios (AA18118 - AA18134).  This is due to a quality issue discovered with the handles tearing off because of inadequate sewing.  All remaining stock in all 3 warehouses has been tested and this should not be an issue going forward.  Once this inventory runs out though, we may be out of stock for a couple of months until new orders arrive.  The sewing of the handle has been completely changed for these orders which will prevent any similar issues.

AA18100 (Tote Board + Portfolio Combo) and AA18110 (ROO-2 Portfolio) are not affected by this and we have plenty of inventory available. - Lisa D. x 6635

(MX) Black Marker and Ink Status

 
 
 
The new Montana Black Marker and Ink range will be slightly delayed from the original ETA of October.  It looks like we should have the range in stock in early November now.  If anything changes I will continue to update.  Lisa ex. 6620

Itoya update

Itoya has been running into production problems for certain items that use the Polyglass pages - the raw materials for this come from Japan and the situation there affected the flow of goods. They anticipate getting everything back in stock by mid-August, which would translate into the end of August for MacPherson's.  I am attaching the original letter for more details.

CANSON EDITION BLACK > VENDOR OUT-OF-STOCK

Heads-up from Canson re:Out-of-Stock situation on Edition Black Paper. Our shelves have minimal quantities, so this will affect our fill on this item. We do have good stock levels on the suggested subs, with a consistent flow of incoming. -beas

"...Please be advised that Canson Edition Black (CN706-2411) will be out-of-stock until November 14, 2011.

With Edition sales up +30% we have been playing catch-up all year. This combined with a manufacturing problem, black being the toughest color to make, has put us into an out-of-stock position.

If you are in need of quality black paper for BTS we are in good stock with Mi-Teintes black, (CN707-3027) our most popular versatile black paper and the new 300gsm Colorline black. (CN000-41452)

Pentel has announced that the Inking Center is delayed and will now be shipping in late September.  The new open stock for the items in this assortment are also delayed to the same timeframe.  Lisa ex. 6620
