NEW YORK, Oct 12 (Reuters) - ABC News reported on Tuesday
that its weekly index of U.S. consumer confidence rose two
points in the latest week, though it remained deeply in
negative territory.
The ABC Consumer Comfort Index rose to -45 for the week
that ended Oct. 10, up from -47 in the previous week.
The index hit an all-time low of -54 in the week to Dec. 1,
2008, and then again in the week to Jan. 25, 2009. The index
has not been in positive territory since March 2007.
