(MX) New Standard Caps on Montana GOLD and BLACK line cans

Montana is implementing a rolling change to the standard caps that come on the GOLD and BLACK line cans.  The GOLD cans will now come with a gold cap with beige dot (still a skinny cap, but producing even cleaner edges), and the BLACK cans will now come with a black cap, orange dot (still a fat cap, put producing a more evenly filled fat line).  This will occur as a rolling change through stock and should start hitting our warehouses in the next several weeks.  These caps will not be available for individual sale - they are only available on the cans.  Lisa ex. 6620

(MX) Montana White NEW COLORS!

Montana is introducing 11 new colors to the Montana WHITEline!  These colors will be available in our warehouses in early June - more info to come in What's New once they are here.  For customers who currently have Montana White in the 48-slot rack, this means they can add 8 colors out of the 11, which will fill each slot of the rack. Currently WHITE has 40 colors, so the 48-slot will be able to hold 8 more colors.  Lisa ex. 6620

(MX) Black and Gold Cans - Upcoming Changes with Standard Caps

Montana will be switching to new standard caps that come on both the Black and Goldline cans.  The new caps on the Black cans will be black with an orange dot.  The caps on the Gold cans will be Gold with a beige dot.  The caps will still be the same in terms of being a fat cap on the Black can and thin on the Gold, but some small tweaks have been made to improve spray patterns.  These new caps will not be available for individual sale, only on the cans.  We will be getting extra supplies though to replace lost/ broken caps at retail. 

We'll start to see the new caps start to phase in over the next few months as a rolling change.  Lisa ex. 6620

(MX) Montana Black Marker Line ETA Update

The product testing for the Montana Black Marker line is finally done, and product will be ready to ship from Germany in the next couple of weeks.  This means we are expecting to have product in stock and ready to ship by late May/early June.  Lisa ex. 6620

(MX) Acrylic Marker Nibs - Pricing Update and Additional SKUS

Some adjustments have been made in the pricing for the Acrylic Marker replacement nibs.  Original pricing was based on the replacement nibs coming in packs of 2.  However some of them changed to packs of 3 or 5, and the price has increased on the 3 smaller sizes accordingly - it's actually a better value as the packs come with more than twice as many nibs, for only 20% more in price.  The larger sizes went down a little in price.  Also, 2 new nib sizes are being introduced - a 0.5mm (2/pk) and 1mm (5/pk) nib.  These should be in stock in about 3 months.  The new nib sizes will be included in any assortment orders placed from now going forward.  Any assortment orders already placed will not include them, so retailers will just need to add them once they are in stock.  Here is a listing of all the nibs and their updated retail pricing:

(MX) Montana Black Marker Status Update

There are still developmental delays with the Montana Black Marker line with some of the skus, which has kept the launch in delay. Particularly, the 8mm markers, 15mm markers, 10 of the 20 200ml Paint colors, and the silver 25ml refill ink.  Montana is not sure when these will be ready yet, but as soon as we have more information we will update.

As for the rest of the items - 10mm markers, 10 of the 20 200ml Paint colors, the rest of the 25ml refill inks, the empty markers, and nibs will be able to ship to arrive to us around mid-May.  The plan is to make these available as soon as possible.  As for assortments that are ordered, these will hold until we get the rest of the line in stock, unless the rep or retailer requests otherwise.  Lisa ex. 6620

(MX) Acrylic Marker Fine 2mm - Currently Not Refillable

We just learned last week from Montana that the initial production runs of the Fine 2mm filled Acrylic Markers are NOT refillable.  This is because the tooling on the machine that produces this size is currently not capable of producing them with a cap that can be un-screwed.  On the Empty Fine 2mm Marker however, it can be un-screwed to refill only because these were specially produced by hand.  
 
Montana is working now now to come up with a solution so that future productions of the filled Fine 2mm Marker will be able to have the top removed for refilling.  We will be sure to update as we get more news.

 
Also, on the rest of the sizes, please note that there is glue in the top nib housing, to keep them secure from leaking in transit.  That means you have to break that glue seal when un-screwing to refill it, which takes a little extra effort.  Montana is also working now to use less glue so that it is easier to get the top portion off more easily.  I will update on the progress of this as well.  Lisa ex. 6620
